Activity overview

Take a cable car up into the mountains where you can enjoy exploring the forests and admiring the views.

From the top of the Sunnbüel cable car, you will make tracks through the deep snow and explore the views across Kandersteg and beyond. Enjoy wonderful views of Gällihorn and Altels.

Schedule 
  • This activity takes approximately 3 hours from the top of Sunnbüel cable car (round trip).
  • The cable runs every 30 minutes but be sure to check their opening times on the day as these change throughout the season.
  • Dates may vary depending on snowfall.

  • Price adult (16+): CHF 38
  • Price child (15-): CHF 26.50

Price includes: Snowshoe rental, Sunnbuel cable car return tickets.

Important information 

A leader or responsible person over 18 years old must be present as part of the group.

Equipment 
  • Rucksack - 20 to 40 litres
  • Waterproof hiking boots with ankle support (no trainers)
  • Winter trousers and jacket - preferably waterproof
  • Warm clothing - thermal base-layer, fleece (no jeans)
  • Warm hat and gloves - preferably waterproof
  • Sun protection - sun cream, sunglasses, sun hat
  • Water bottle - minimum 2 litres
  • Food - packed lunch and snacks
  • Personal medication - epipen, asthma inhaler, etc
  • Pocket money (optional)
