If you are staying at our Campsite, you do not need to bring all your heavy camping equipment with you; you can request the cooking and camping equipment from us from mid-June to mid-August. When staying in the Old or New Chalet, you can rent a guest kitchen where you can cook for up to 20 to 40 people. When coming in Winter, we can arrange ski and snowboard rentals with a special scout discount in the local rental shop in the village.

Guest kitchen

Guest Kitchens are available only for groups staying in the Chalet. All the kitchens have basic cooking equipment such as cooking utensils, fridge, oven with four cooking hobs as well as glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery. The price also includes dishwashing liquid, kitchen cloths and tea towels. In summer there is a covered eating area in front of the kitchens. During Autumn, Winter and Spring, an indoor area for eating can be organised in the Chalet common rooms, in case the seating inside the kitchen does not fit your group.

8 Person Tents

One sleeping compartment textile tent for 8 people. More often Ferrino tents.

Dining shelter

A simple solution for a covered seating or cooking area (4 m x 4 m). The tent has no sides and is made from textile canvas. Suitable for dining, not sleeping. It fits one set of tables and benches. The capacity is 8-10 people.

Kitchen tent

Large (4.5 m x 6 m) textile tent with no ground sheet. Suitable for dining or cooking on stoves. You can fit one set of tables and benches inside the tent. Capacity is about 10+ people.

Cooking set

The Cooking set is suitable for groups staying on the Campsite. With this set, you are able to comfortably cater for 15 to a max. 20 people.  The set contains the following:

  • 1 Gas stove (2 rings) with 1 gas regulator
  • 2 Colanders
  • 2 Mixing / serving plastic bowls
  • 1 Washing up bowl
  • 1 Cooking pot 12 litres with 1 lid
  • 1 Cooking pot 8 litres with 1 lid
  • 2 Cooking pots 6 litres with 2 lids
  • 1 Big plastic chopping board
  • 1 Small plastic chopping board
  • 2 Jugs 2 litres
  • 1 Fish slice
  • 2 Serving spoons
  • 2 Slotted spoons
  • 2 Ladles
  • 2 Cooking spoons
  • 1 Potato peeler
  • 3 Kitchen knives
  • 1 Bucket 10 litres
  • 1 Plastic tray
  • 1 Frying pan 30cm
  • 1 Water jerry can 5 litres

The set doesn’t contain:

  • Personal items, e.g. no cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, etc.
  • Equipment for open fire cooking. The pans and pots are only to be used on gas stoves, not on open fire.
  • Gas bottles. The cost for gas bottles required for using the gas stove is not included in the price for a Cooking Set. You can buy gas bottles directly at KISC - no booking in advance is required for the gas.

Gas Stoves

Gas stoves have one to two rings for cooking. Each stove comes with a hose and a gas regulator. The cost for gas bottles required for using the gas stove is not included in the price for a gas stove. You can buy gas bottles directly at KISC - no booking in advance is required for the gas.

Firewood

Firewood can be collected at our Wood Compound during its opening hours. Firewood is given out in barrels, which you need to use to keep the fire off the ground by making the fire in them unless you use a dedicated fireplace on KISC campsite. No need to book in advance.

Gas regulators

Propane and butane gas regulators to fit our gas bottles. No need to book in advance. Gas regulators are deposits, once used and returned back to KISC, the deposit of CHF 20.00 will be returned to you.

Pioneering Poles

We have a limited amount of pioneering poles in different lengths. The lengths reach from 1.2 m to about 5 m. We can offer each group approximately 15 poles for pioneering in different lengths. This number may be less during the high season. Pioneering poles can't be modified or cut in any way. We do not offer any kind of ropes or other materials for pioneering; please bring your own ropes. It is possible to buy rope in the village. No need to book in advance.
