Activity overview

The perfect way to get to know the area around KISC and explore the beautiful scenery that Kandersteg has to offer.

A nice hike that will take you around the upper end of the valley, to discover the area where the Scout Centre is situated. This short hike will lead you around our campsite, over the Lötschberg train tunnel and crosses the beautiful fields of the nature reserve Filfalle, ending at the picturesque lake Muggenseeli.

Important information 
  • A leader or responsible person over 18 years old must be present as part of the group.
Equipment 
  • Rucksack - 20 to 40 litres
  • Waterproof hiking boots with ankle support (no trainers)
  • Winter trousers and jacket - preferably waterproof
  • Warm clothing - thermal base-layer, fleece (no jeans)
  • Warm hat and gloves - preferably waterproof
  • Sun protection - sun cream, sunglasses, sun hat
  • Water bottle - minimum 2 litres
  • Food - packed lunch and snacks
  • Personal medication - epipen, asthma inhaler, etc
  • Pocket money (optional)
