We are looking for a Campsite Assistant for Summer 2024. The Campsite Assistant is responsible for working with the Campsite Manager in managing and running the Centre's camping facilities and all related equipment. The person also trains, manages, and works alongside a team of volunteers. If you are excited and able to motivate and manage an international group of volunteers, love interacting with guests and staff and enjoy planning, organising and cleaning, we look forward to your application.
Being the first point of contact for all the guests on the Campsite, the Campsite Manager looks after the various guest groups together with the Campsite Assistant and Short Term Staff working in the team. The Campsite Manager is responsible for managing and preparing the Centre's camping facilities, recycling procedures, the Campervan Project at the end of the season and all related equipment. The person also trains, manages, and works alongside a team of volunteers.
The High Adventure Assistant assists in the coordination and running of our High Adventure Programme: the hikes, climbing activities, glacier workshops and our Challenge activities. The person helps with the training of our Short Term Staff and Helpers to make sure they are capable Hike and/or Climbing Guides. A large proportion of the work takes place in the office, serving guests or helping with the Programme administration, including replying to emails and preparing check-ins.
The House Assistant works together with the House Manager and other House Assistant to ensure a positive image of the Centre in terms of the cleanliness and general appearance of all of the indoor facilities in the summer of 2024! This includes taking care of the laundry services, assisting in the coordination of daily and seasonal cleaning routines, guest check-ins and -outs, helping with special events, and ensuring that all guests receive excellent service during their stay. The House Assistant also leads and organises the Short Term Staff’s daily work.
