How to get to us

We are here

High up in the mountains, Kandersteg can be found in the Jungfrau-Aletsch region of the Swiss Alps, about 65km from Bern, or a 1 hour train journey away.

You can reach us by plane, train, car or coach. The local bus from the station is free if you wear your Scout scarf. If you’re walking from the station, we’re about 20 minutes away at the end of the valley on the northern side of the Lötschberg tunnel.

From the Kandersteg train station you can either walk to the Centre following the blue KISC hiking signs (natural path - not suitable for suitcases with wheels) or the main road (20-30 minutes walk).

Due to the renovation works to the Lötschberg tunnel, there is an increase in road traffic on the main road so we recommend that you follow the natural path or take the bus.
