Activity overview
In Summer 2024, we plan on using the donations to support the cost of volunteer travel expenses to KISC through our Solidarity Fund.
In Summer 2023, we supported the Scout Donation Platform by funding Scout projects around the globe, including Helping Mexico Heal, Rise Up, United for Ukraine, Thrive Terra, Changing the world one beach at a time, Mindshift: supporting mental health across Burundi and Green shoots of sustainability and Scouting in Moldova.
In Summer 2022 we supported the World Organisation of Scouting Movement’s fundraising effort to support those affected by the war in Ukraine.
In Summer 2019 we supported the cost of Scout volunteers and guests who would like to be able to travel to KISC, but are unable to due to financial reasons.
In Summer 2018 we supported the Scout Donation Platform by funding Scout projects around the globe to make a difference in order to create a better world.
In Summer 2017, we supported the International Rover Moot held in Iceland. We provided help with the solidarity project that was set up by the Moot to enable Scouts without the monetary power to attend the Moot.
In Summer 2016, we raised 8,000CHF for FoodKIND. A charity set up by a Scout and KISC ex-staff member in response to the worsening refugee crisis and the deteriorating conditions across Europe. FoodKIND is a humanitarian organisation with a very simple mission – to provide food and compassion in situations where people do not have access to regular food supplies and where basic human needs are not being met.
BBQ is happening every Monday in the Summer season, starting at 18:00 in front of the Chalet.

Price includes: dinner (weekly alternation between a hamburger and a steak. Vegetarian and vegan options also available. Served with salads, a drink and dessert)
Guest cancellation:
- Less than 7 days before activity: fee of 50% of the price per person
- Less than 48 hours in advance: non-refundable
- When booking this activity, in comments mention all the dietary requirements of your group. We can cater for vegetarians, vegans and most other special dietary requirements.
- The mealtime for your group will be specified on the door of the dining hall at KISC. Please respect the sitting times.
- A leader or responsible person over 18 years old must be present as part of the group.
