Citizens of EU/EFTA countries

Citizens of EU/EFTA countries do not need a visa, and the Centre secures the necessary work permit.

Citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries

For citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries, the visa process is more complicated but we have a high chance of success in supporting you with your visa application. If you don't have an EU/EFTA passport, you have to be under 35 years old at the time of your work period, as that is the age limit for the visas we can receive. The Centre secures the necessary work permit.

The Centre covers the visa and administration fees applicable in Switzerland with the relevant authorities but does not cover the fees charged by your local embassy in your own country.

Please note that the VISA application process can take up to 3 months.

Citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries

For citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries who have not been Staff at KISC before, we can easily apply for a 4-month visa, for 4-month contracts. The applicant needs to be under 35 years old for the whole duration of the contract.

For citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries who have been Short Term or Long Term Staff at KISC before, there is a possibility of getting another visa, however KISC is typically only able to secure 1 or 2 of these visas per year. The applicant must be suitable for the role and fulfil specific requirements set by the Swiss authorities. This will normally require you to have spent at least 365 days out of Switzerland since your last Swiss visa ended. Employment at KISC is dependent on securing the necessary special permission from the Swiss authorities.
