How does a typical Short Term Staff day look?

07:30 Breakfast
08:00  Thought for the day, a short staff briefing for everyone working that day
08:10  Work time, every Short Term Staff is allocated to work in different areas of the Centre. The main tasks are slightly different for each season. Read about different seasons below.
12:00 Lunchtime
12:00 Lunch break until 14:00! Get some fresh air, talk with fellow Pinkies or take a nap.
14:00 Get ready for the afternoon of work and great fun!
18:00 Dinner
After dinner Depending on the season and the number of guests staying at the Centre, you could be involved in evening activities or be scheduled on an evening shift in Catering or Campsite. You might be running an international campfire, a barbecue, taking a group igloo building, or helping guests with recycling.

The schedule above might change a bit. It all depends on what needs to be done. To achieve this, we need your commitment and flexibility. Also, be prepared for bigger events to happen at KISC which bring some different tasks to your daily work.

How does a day of a Long Term Staff look like?

08:10 Work time. Every Long Term Staff goes to their work stations to kick-off the day or start to work directly with the Short Term Staff.
12:00 Lunchtime
12:00 Lunch break until 14:00! Get some fresh air, talk with fellow Pinkies, or have a nap.
14:00 Get ready for the afternoon portion of work and great fun!
18:00 Dinner
After dinner Depending on the season, the number of guests and your responsibilities, you could be running evening activities, helping clean up after meals or help with guests enquiries. 

It’s important to be aware of these extra tasks when applying for any position at KISC. The daily work schedule for Catering staff, and during summer for the teams that work in shifts differ from the above.

Weekly meetings

Every week, Long Term Staff have a special meeting to discuss previous and upcoming tasks and share important information. Long Term Staff have also a meeting with their line manager to discuss operational matters.
