Flag Break & Welcome - Sunday
Begin your international experience at KISC with an official welcome and start to the week.
Wear your Scout uniform, bring your national flag and prepare a song or chant to exchange with your fellow Scouts! Get to know the groups you will spend your week with.
Sunday Meet Up - Sunday
Drop in to see us on Sunday mornings on the campsite. Staff will be organising a variety of games and activities for you with an international twist.
An excellent chance to meet other groups staying at KISC. Bring your own games and share them with our staff and other scouts.Check it out!
International Sports Afternoon - Sunday
Form a team with scouts from around the world and enjoy a great afternoon of fun and competition.
There will be an international volleyball and football tournament as well as some other sporting challenges to test your skills! A great afternoon of international fun and competition.
International Evening - Sunday
Come and join this activity where you, together with other Scouts, can share traditional food, games, dances and culture from your country. Wear your Scout uniform or traditional clothes and prepare a table so everyone can learn something about your country.
There will also be the opportunity to meet Pinkies and swap badges. If you're planning on attending, please make sure to prepare a table to represent your country.Check it out!
Messengers of Peace BBQ - Monday
Come together at our weekly BBQ outside the Chalet. A great way to meet new friends and also support Scouting around the world. For each BBQ sold, KISC donates CHF 2.00 to our annual project.
Leaders' Gathering - Monday
All leaders are invited to this social and informative meeting. We will give you some advice for your camp and it is also an excellent time to meet other leaders, compare programmes and organise joint activities with other groups.
Staff will be there ready to offer you advice or simply have a chat. We look forward to seeing you there!Check it out!
Kander Challenge - Tuesday/Thursday
Join this activity and be part of an international team with Scouts from different countries.
You will navigate between a series of challenges spread around our campsite with your new friends. You will need creativity and enthusiasm to complete the different challenged with physical, logical, mental and scouting problems.
Light Trail - Tuesday/Thursday
Follow the trail through the forests with only a torchlight. Be questioned about your position in the world and how we can make a positive impact as global citizens. A spiritual, non-religious, reflective evening.
Once you have completed the trail, join other Scouts around a campfire and enjoy a traditional campfire snack!Check it out!
Rover's Campfire Yarn - Wednesday
Learn about the impact of the Scout Movement on a global level, and discover similarities and differences you have with Rovers from other countries.
This activity will make you reflect and share your thoughts with other Rovers, empowering you to create a better world. You will finish the activity with a small campfire together with your new Rover friends.
Swiss Culture Night - Wednesday
Kandersteg village invites you for a unique Swiss evening.
Join the locals to enjoy alphorns, yodelling, traditional dances and enjoy their fascinating culture. An excellent way to have great fun and experience Switzerland.Check it out!
Summer Campfire - Friday
A KISC classic! Scouting tradition and an unforgettable night of any stay at the Permanent Mini Jamboree.
A campfire, where Scouts from all over the World come together to share the fire of the international friendship. Groups are invited to share a skit, song or dance.
