Activity overview

The visitor centre of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site is known as the most modern museum in the Alps. In the exhibition, visitors can experience the World Heritage Site with all their senses and immerse themselves into the exciting and diverse world of the Alps

Fascinating films, interactive experience stations and advanced technology awaken the spirit of discovery of young and old alike. The WNF takes a look at all the processes involved in the formation and change of the Alps, as well as the climatic challenges, and offers a varied exhibition experience for explorers of all ages.

Kandersteg has been part of this World Heritage Site since 2005, which is committed to the economically, socially and ecologically sustainable development of the region. The region around Kandersteg and the Gastere Valley in particular not only impress with their beauty, but are also imposing testimonies to Alpine mountain formation and climate change.

The exhibition in the World Nature Forum in Naters as well as the points of interest and themed trails in the nature around Kandersteg give you an insight into the first and largest World Natural Heritage Site in the Alps.
