We are looking for a team of five people to work on the partnerships and fundraising of our celebration of 100 years.
This team will be responsible for mapping potential partnerships and identifying the resources KISC needs for different projects in the centenary. In addition, the team will be expected to support the KISC 2023 patronage committee which is the main organ for fundraising for this project.

Requirements

  • Needs to be at least 18 years old.

  • Communicate in a high level of written and spoken English

Essential

  • Excellent English writing skills.

  • Experience in drafting concept documents, grant applications, and MoUs. 

  • Demonstrable success establishing and achieving partnerships goals.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines, multitask, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Ability to work within an international team of volunteers.

  • Commitment and ability to volunteer remotely for a long-term period.

  • Attention to details with the ability to think strategically.

 

Desirable

  • Relevant knowledge of partnerships and fundraising through studies or work experience.

  • National, regional, or/and international Scouting experience.

  • Communication in German language is highly desirable.

  • Ability to communicate in any other WOSM language; French, Arabic, Spanish, or/and Russian.

Main Tasks

  • Assist the 2023 Project Director and the fundraising (patronage) committee in the delivery of the KISC centenary’s partnerships and fundraising plan with a specific focus on educational partnerships.

  • Identify partnership opportunities for educational projects of the centenary.

  • Draft concept documents and proposals.

  • Identify VIP guests who might attend our events and coordinate their logistics.

  • Use reporting tools and provide reports on the performance.

  • Write regular e-newsletters, circulars, articles, and website content to different types of audiences.

  • Dealing with cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution and results delivery.

  • Develop an ownership approach to ensure an accurate task delivery in a timely and efficient manner.

Line Management

This volunteering position is supervised by the 2023 Project Director.
