We are looking for seven people with programme experience, to volunteer in our workshops and educational activities within the centenary. This team will be part of KISC 2023 Programme Development team and will be responsible for the development of creative educational ideas for the Kander100 event. We look forward to receiving your application and being part of 100 years of magical history together!

  • Needs to be at least 18 years old.
  • Communicate in a high level of written and spoken English

Essential

  • Knowledge and experience with youth programme development; preferably experience with the scout method and Education for Sustainable Development.

  • Experience with creating, reviewing, and developing educational activities/workshops in scout events, nationally, regionally, and/or globally for young people (7-26 years old)

  • Demonstrating the use of project management tools (eg: ClickUp, smartsheet, etc)

  • Excellent English writing skills.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines, multitask, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.

  • Ability to work within an international team of volunteers

  • Commitment and ability to volunteer remotely for a long-term period.

Desirable

  • Relevant experience of non-formal education through studies or work.

  • Experience in the non-formal education sector and/or working for NGOs.

  • Education for Sustainable Development experience is a huge plus.

  • National, regional, or/and international Scouting experience.

  • Ability to communicate in any other WOSM language; French, Arabic, Spanish, or/and Russian.

  • Develop quality educational activities and workshops for Kander100 event ( 7 - 26 years old).

  • Identify the necessary tools and equipment for the activities/workshops.

  • Use reporting tools and provide reports on the performance.

  • Work with the marketing and communications department for promotional content of the activities for different types of audiences.

  • Dealing with cross-functional teams to ensure proper execution and results delivery.

  • Develop an ownership approach to ensure an accurate task delivery in a timely and efficient manner.

This volunteering position is supervised by the 2023 Project Director. The Educational Development team is part of the wider Programme Development department.
