The High Adventure Award is designed to encourage Scouts and Guides to experience and appreciate the Alpine environment. The Award deals with both the safety and theory of Alpine adventure. There is also an outdoor aspect involving an activity such as a hike or swim etc...

To get this Badge you must complete 7 of the requirements listed below. If you are under 14 years old, complete only 5.
- Stay overnight in our mountain hut Ueschinenhütte. *
- Take part in one of the Centre's guided hikes or an unguided hike. *
- Take part in Centre's climbing activities, and learn more about this sport. *
- Have a swim in an Alpine lake.
- Go hiking over 2500m and learn about altitude sickness. *
- Attend "Glaciers, Alps and Avalanches" presentation.
- Learn the correct use of a compass and navigation skills. Prove them on the compass course!
- Take part in one of the Centre's Snow & Ice activities or stay overnight in the Fründenhütte. *
- Take part in one of the Centre's Challenge activities.
- Take part in a water activity.
