The Chalet

The Chalet is the main building that the Centre operates from. It consists of the Old and New Chalet which both provide facilities and accommodation. Our guests staying in the New or Old Chalet have the option of using one of our Guest Kitchens if they are self catering.
Old Chalet
The Old Chalet is open year round and provides accommodation for 176 people in 23 rooms. These rooms contain between 3 to 22 beds. Most rooms have tables and chairs, providing a living area for you, as well as storage space for your equipment.
In the price of an overnight included is a full set of bedding is provided per bed, including a duvet & duvet cover, pillow & pillow case and a sheet for the mattress. The use of sleeping bags is not allowed. Beds need to be made up by the guest on arrival.
Most rooms are named after a National Scout Organisation or Scout Region that helped us with the renovating and decorating of the room. If you come and visit the Centre you can feel the atmosphere of Scouting and traditions in Japan, Italy, Africa, Greece, Holland and many more countries around the world.
The New Chalet
In the New Chalet we can accommodate 27 guests (in 9 rooms of 3). These rooms are available from the start of October until the end of May (NOT during Summer). The rooms offer a higher standard of accommodation with single beds, which are made up on arrival (the use of sleeping bags is not allowed) and bathrooms used only by those staying on the floor. The New Chalet is particularly suitable for leaders, couples and conference groups. Most rooms are named after different peaks found in the nearby Swiss Alps.
