Guided Skiing and Snowboarding
If you have some experience then skiing or boarding with a KISC guide is a great way to make the most of your time on the slopes. Our staff can guide you around the slopes gving you help and advice. Please note that our guides are not professional instructors and if you have not skiied before then you should book lessons with the local ski school.
We offer Guided Skiing in the resorts of Kandersteg, Adelboden and Lauchernalp.
Kandersteg has 2 small ski areas which are perfect for those learning to ski or for getting back on skis after a year or more. Oeschinensee is the biggger ski area, with a gondola lift, 2 T-Bar lifts and nursery slopes served by rope tows. Oeschinensee has 12 km of ski runs including a long red piste back to the main gondola, the perfect preparation for longer runs at the bigger ski areas. Sunnbuel has 1 T-Bar lift and some short, often very quiet pistes at the top of the Sunnbuel cable car. Kandersteg ski school is based at Oeschinensee and both areas are included in the Kandersteg ski pass.
Adelboden is located 50 minutes from Kandersteg by public transport and is one of the biggest ski areas in Switzerlad, with over 200 km of ski slopes stretching over two valleys, a world cup run and a ski cross park. It has slopes to suit all standards from beginners to advanced skiers, a fast modern lift system and takes several days to fully explore. We sell both ski passes and Snow & Rail passes (which include return travel and 1 day ski pass). A perfect area to go to after a warm up in Kandersteg.
Lauchernalp is located in the Valais region, through the Lötschberg tunnel - 35 minutes from Kandersteg by public transport. With 55 km of ski runs between 1698 and 3111 vertical meters, including long snow-sure runs starting on a glacier. The resort is one of the hidden gems of Swiss skiing and offers superb views across the Valais alps. An excellent resort for those looking for long red runs, black runs and off-piste skiing. We only offer Snow & Rail tickets for Lauchernalp - as the resort is cheaper and easier to reach using public transprot than it is by car.
Elsigenalp is a small and quiet resort, approximately 1 hour away from Kandersteg by public transport or 30 minutes by car. Snow conditions there are often some of the best and most stable in the region. The area has 30 km of ski runs, suiting everyone from beginners to advanced skiers, along with a snowpark for kids. This resort opens earlier in the season than most other resorts and closes later, making it a good choice if you are coming to us early or late in the season. We only offer Snow & Rail tickets for Elsigenalp - as the resort is cheaper and easier to reach using public transprot than it is by car.
As Kandersteg is located centrally in the Alps the famous resorts of Zermatt and Grindelwald and can be easily reached by car or public transport. Ski in the shadow of the Matterhorn and enjoy the longest skiing season in the Alps at the world famous resort of Zermatt. Or go to Grindelwald and ski underneath the imposing north face of the Eiger, admire the views over the Monch and Jungfrau. Visit the Schilthorn ski resort to follow in the steps of James Bond in the film "On her Majesty's Secret Service".
