Summer activities
Summer in Kandersteg is when the 'Permanent Mini Jamboree' really comes alive! Where else can you share an early morning breakfast with your Italian neighbours before heading off on a hike to an Alpine Cheesery with some Germans and Spanish? Then you can finish off the evening with a huge International Campfire with Scouts and Guides from all over the world.
The Summer Programme is based on the themes of International Friendship, High Adventure and Eco. We encourage you to use these awards as a basis for your plan of activities.
Summer Activities run from June 10th to September 2nd 2012. If coming before or after this time please contact the Programme Staff to see what is available. Please book all activities, including evening activities, in advance by June 1st.
PLEASE NOTE:
Guided Hikes and activities do not run on Sunday mornings.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.

One of the main themes of our Programme the environment is important to all Scouts. We have Guided and Self-Guided Programme as well as the Eco Adventure Room and environmental information around the Centre and Campsite.
