Why are school camps important?

Camps give children a chance to learn through non-formal education.

School camps at KISC contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full potential. Our mission is to bring young people of the world together in an alpine environment, raise awareness over sustainability and global issues, and empower young people in the creation of a better world.

What can your school expect?

Each school camp has its own goal and mission tailored to your school's needs.

If you're not sure where to start, we have 3 common themes we build our programmes from.

They are:

  • High Adventure
  • Eco Adventure
  • International Friendship

Below we outline a bit more about the goals of each theme below.

  • School Camps 0

High Adventure

These camps focus on building confidence and communication and team working skills. They give students the chance to learn to lead and discover their true potential.

  • School Camps 0

Eco Adventure

These camps focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by exploring our unique alpine environment while educating your students about current environmental issues. They aim to encourage your students to take action and leave the world a little better than they found it.

  • School Camps 0

International Friendship

These camps focus on International Friendship and culture. They encourage students to explore and develop their interest in other cultures and ways of life. Your students will develop communication and teamwork skills as well as form friendships as a class.

How do we do meals?

You will eat together in our dining hall.

The centre's dining hall seats 100 people in one sitting and can serve 300 people per meal. Meals are served 'canteen' style, with a set main dish and a soup or dessert.

We do our best to cater for students with dietary requirements. We can cater for the most common dietary requirements, such as Vegetarians, Vegans, Gluten, Lactose, Dairy and Nut-free diets. Students with other special diets can specify their requirements when booking meals. We do our best to cater for the different requirements. We prepare all the meals in the same kitchen, so we can not guarantee that the meals are 100% allergen-free.

When are we open?

We are open to guests 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

For the best experience, we recommend booking for February, May or September. We are open year-round and take requests outside of these months on a case-by-case basis (School bookings are not available in July and August).
