My name is Melissa and I’m from the Mother City (Cape Town) in sunny South Africa.

My first experience of KISC was the multitude of stories I heard from my dad growing up, and then meeting some crazy Pinkies at the 22WSJ in Sweden. My best experience of KISC (so far) has been the 3 months I spent as an Activity Guide during my time as Short Term Staff in Summer 2019. I got to live my dream in the most magical place in Switzerland and join the greatest pink family, and I’m so excited to share that passion and help fellow South Africans do the same. KISC truly is the Permanent Mini Jamboree and one of the greatest ways to experience International Scouting.

If you’re thinking of becoming a Pinkie or visiting KISC – my advice to you is DO IT! And if you have any questions along the way, I’m happy to help 😊

"}]
