House Assistant

The House Assistant works together with the House Manager and other House Assistant to ensure a positive image of the Centre in terms of the cleanliness and general appearance of all of the indoor facilities. This includes taking care of the laundry services, assisting in the coordination of daily and seasonal cleaning routines, guest check-ins and -outs, helping with special events, and ensuring that all guests receive excellent service during their stay. The House Assistant also leads and organises the Short Term Staff’s daily work.

House Manager

Closed position
The House Manager is responsible for leading the work of the Centre’s House team, including all associated administrative, planning, development, and day-to-day tasks. The House Manager takes responsibility for the image of the Centre in terms of cleanliness and general appearance. The House Manager also takes a leading role in the coordination and preparation of the accommodation and conference room setup during special events. Internal Services Director

Closed position
The Deputy Director for Internal Services is jointly responsible for the overall operation, running and organisation of Kandersteg International Scout Centre in accordance with the strategic objectives agreed in co-operation with the Association’s Committee. The successful candidate for this role will support the operation of the Centre by leading their teams in delivering the KISC Mission. A strong ability to lead people will be critically important, more than a detailed knowledge of one specific work area.

IT Project Coordinator

The IT Project Coordinator is a temporary role which will focus on the implementation of upgrades and changes in the main IT Infrastructure of KISC. The IT Project Coordinator will continue an existing project that started in 2019 and will oversee the multi-phase implementation according to the project that includes: migration from remote to desktop environment (Microsoft 365), upgrades to the property management system (ASSD), deploying a new E-Shop system and standardising the use of ICT at KISC.
