Spanish Work Party03.05.2015
The Spanish Scouts were mostly working on the campsite. Paul (UK) our Grounds Manager and Anna (FI) our Campsite Manager showed them what needs to be done. With a lot of enthusiasm they cleaned the litter and the foliage around our campsite. The leaves, they found, were really fun to jump in to, but afterwards they had to clean it again. If you'll visit us in summer you'll find a very clean campsite.
The next step was cleaning the picnic benches, tables and chairs so we could put them outside. Unfortunately the weather wasn't always good enough to sit out and test them.
On one evening they showed the Pinkies some typical Spanish games. Somebody was playing the guitar and everybody was singing.
The last few days, the Spanish people split wood for the campfires in summer, the pot holes have been filled and the walls of the little tunnel next to Kanderlodge were cleaned.
Pani; one of the Spanish Scouts, enjoyed the working environment the most, while his friend Kike liked the mountains and María and Mario enjoyed spending time with the Pinkies.
On their last working day we had the Spanish Work Party Party in the evening. They prepared a lot of nice typical Spanish foods for us. We could try tortilla, Spanish sausage, and a lot of bread and ham. Hmmm qué rico!
We enjoyed having the Spanish Scouts here at KISC. Thank you for your help, Muchísimas gracias a todos. We are now prepared for Summer 2015.
