It's with honour and pride I accept the "Smiling Torch" from Ellie and Rosie.
To become a Pinke at KISC is a bit of a dream that has come true, to be a part of the multi-cultural Staff Team with different people from many different countries. When I arrived at June 12 I had no idea where or what I was supposed to be working with. After that I finished staff training and became a Pinke and a part of what's called the Magic of Kandersteg.
At the moment I have been here at KISC for one month and I'm a part of the group that's working on the Campsite and keeping it running. I now have two wonderful months left here in the Swiss Alps. It is impossible to describe what it is The Magic of Kandersteg, you have to experience it yourself and I really recomend that you and all of your fellow Scouts and Guides in the World come and visit KISC at least once to experience the Permanent Mini-Jamboree that was B-P's dream.
For me as a Temperance Scout it can be hard to handle that KISC is not a non-alcoholic place. But I hope that some of the people here will receive my message of a lifestife living without alcohol and at least use less of it.
And with this words I will now pass on the Smiling Tourch to this week "Smile of the Week": Tuuli.
