The roof insulation is finished and the temperature on the 1st Floor is getting to an acceptable level and that with only a fraction of the radiators! 'Acceptable' is of course relative and the first remarks can be heard that it is actually getting to warm to work.
Paul has moved the staircase 1cm (not much but a lot of work) this weekend to allow the builders enough space for the brick work. At the same time he could lift the staircase to be equal to the top of the cement floor (6cm on top of the wooden floor) and to put an oak beam between the cement floor an the stairs (part of the fire proofing).
This week the builders have started with the stone walls which will enclose the full staircase from the ground floor to directly underneath the roof. All work on the 1st Floor need to be finished by next Tuesday.
In the picture you see the stone wall on the 1st floor being build that will enclose the staircase as a fire security measurement.
