Work has started again in the Kander-Lodge.
The heating systems on both the ground and 1st floor are filled with water and the pellet burner is working continuously to bring the indoor temperature from presently 2 degrees Celsius to a higher level.
Paul has started with the insulation of the roof. In total 760m2 of 160mm thick insulation needs to be installed including a layer of humidity protection.
Progress is also made in the area of plumbing with the installation of the sewage pipes.
With the start of this week we are half way in the period to prepare the KL for its operational role. A lot of work is also done on the 'interior decoration' and different proposals have been checked. This week most of the companies are not working to allow compensation of overwork built up in 2008 but from next week on everybody is working again. Just the shear amount of work that still needs to be done before the end of May is a little overwhelming.
In the picture you see the Pellet burner with the pipes (black) which feeds the pellets from the store room to the burner. The metal door in the wall is the access to the pellet store room (30m3 of pellets!!!).
Looking forward to an exiting time!
