Halfway Through the Season and it is AMAZING24.10.2014
Hi! I am Saskia from the Netherlands and it is my pleasure to be Smile of the Week. At the moment I am already 1.5 month at KISC and still enjoying it! One of the things I really like is that I learn every day something new! Today I learnt how to use the carpet cleaner and yesterday I learnt a lot about plants and outside stuff when I was in grounds. I also learnt how to drive Leena, our transporter vehicle, I learned the difference between Chinese calendar and European one, learnt how to deep clean, fold, mangle, hike, technical moves, cook, international words and more! A lot of different skills than I normal use/learn in my student life. AMAZING!
Today I had a really nice moment; I was carpet cleaning in Kanderlodge, because we prepare Kanderlodge for the Baden Powel Fellowship event. I was listening to music and could sing as loud and bad as I could and no one could hear me. It was a nice afternoon, with lots of good music.
Another good thing is, that the snow is coming. Okay only still the top of the mountains far away, but we can see it from the staffroom! So hopefully we can soon have a snowfight, sled and ski! I am looking forward to show my roomie what snow is and to go sledding with them!
So this is an amazing place, or maybe marvellous is a better word for it. I enjoy every moment with my international friends; all the beautiful mountains, different kinds of work and really nice roomies! I hope the next 1.5 months will even be better or like this and it will be easy to keep smiling!
