Friends from Korea28.08.2012
The Korean guests under the lead of Hon. Chung Ui Wha were welcomed by Thijs Stoffer, Chairman of the KISC Association, Myriam Heidelberger Kaufmann, General Director, Alexandros Louis (GR), incoming Operational Director and Hyemee (KR), Short term staff from Korea.
After some introductionary remarks of the General Director the group followed on a KISC Tour passing the Korean room and visiting the Campsite before having a Swiss Apéro in the KISC Main Hall.
The gift from the Korean friends, left at KISC is a replica of the Gilt-bronze Incense Burner (AD 7th c.), a national treasure of Korea. This valuable gift has not yet found its definitive place at the World Scout Centre as it is not only precious but also delicate.
In return, the guests received a KISC neckerchief as a sign of international friendship among all borders.
