Double smiling power04.01.2016
Hi, this is me – Monika, one of the smiles of the week! I am from Lithuania and here at KISC I am working as an Administration and Finance assistant. What made me smile the most? Zero! Yes, a zero in the end of the balance sheet. That may sound a bit strange, but I am sure, that those who work with finances do understand me.
To be honest, it is hard to be grumpy here. KISC is a magical place full of smiling people, interesting activities and amazing nature around. As the Oeschinensee lake is first time frozen in 17 years, me and fellow Pinkies spent some amazing hours ice skating. This is the experience that will most likely happen only once in a time spent at KISC. You must try it! I am absolutely sure that you will have an amazing time, lots of laughs and thousands of smiles.
Also, last week was very special, because we all were celebrating Christmas! Lots of Christmas biscuits, nice decorations, and Santa Clause with many presents. How can you not smile on this time of the year?
Hello! I’m Dot. from Australia, and right now there are so many reasons to smile – We’ve just celebrated a magical (if not quite white) Christmas, and seen in the New Year in style. Now the snow has finally come, and KISC is a winter wonderland, with frosted trees, and snowmen and igloos popping up all over the place. Add to that all of the skiing that we all get to do now, and life is simply magnificent!
My absolute favourite thing about KISC though is all of the amazing people that come here. From my fellow staff, to all the helpers that have come for Christmas and New Year, and all of the guests I’ve been lucky enough to meet so far, everyone is so happy and friendly. This last week, we’ve been particularly to host the Winter International Rover Week. It’s true that it wasn’t that wintery – I think the Rovers may have driven away the snow with all of the bright sunshine coming from their smiling faces! But even without the snow, everybody had the best week together. But now that they’re gone, we can’t wait for our next guests!
And I bet you’re wondering how I got that scratch on my forehead – Let me tell you a secret: I’m actually Harry Potter, the Boy who Lived!
No, in truth it’s just another one of the many scratches and bruises I’ve gotten from having too much fun here at KISC. If every bruise tells a story, anyone who’s ever been to KISC has thousands of happy tales to tell!
