A friend gone home11.02.2016
Today we received the terrible news that a great friend of KISC has suddenly passed away. BSA writes: "We regret to inform you that our dear friend and colleague, BSA International Commissioner, Roger Schrimp unexpectedly passed away following surgery, Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2016. Roger was an admired and respected member of our Scouting family. His experience in Scouting as a youth led to a lifelong association and strong feeling of responsibility to support Scouting’s growth in our local communities, as well as on a national and international level."
"I am deeply saddened by this sudden loss", says Thijs Stoffer, Chairman of the KISC Association. "He was a great supporter of KISC and has supported us in many ways over the years. KISC joins World Scouting to express our deepest condolences to his family and BSA. He will stay in our memory with gratitude and respect, and as a true Scouter and a man with a keen eye for what is important for young people. May his soul rest in peace."
He will be missed by many, but his legacy and impact will never be forgotten. We share our condolences with Roger’s family.
