Common Rooms
We have four Common Rooms located on the ground floor of the Old Chalet. They are open for all guests to use free of charge and are the perfect opportunity to meet other guests and Scouts from all around the world. It is possible to book the rooms for your group by contacting Reception (reception[at]kisc.ch).
Main Hall
The Main Hall is available for guests to use at any point during their stay. You can use it to have meetings, meet other leaders, or just to and relax in! The room has some comfortable seating, some books to read and a fireplace you can use.
ECO ADVENTURE ROOM
Visit our new look Eco Adventure Room. Take some time and browse through our Eco Activities Leaflets, sit and relax on our comfortable new sofas, play some of our new eco-exciting board games, read up on the local environment or just have a coffee and relax with the latest National Geographic magazine.
High Adventure ROOM
The High Adventure Room contains a fire place and tables and chairs. The room is perfect for small meetings or activities with your group. Our Knot Board is located in the room for groups to use. The room has a hiking map.
International Friendship ROOM
The International Friendship Room was opened in Autumn 2009. The room contains comfortable couches and chairs, a TV and DVD player and books. It is open for all guests to use and is perfect to relax in after a day full of activities.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.
