We have free wireless access for our guests staying in the Kanderlodge and in the Sunneblick.
We can arrange pick-up or drop-off for your luggage to or from the local train station (Kandersteg BLS). Please note that we can only transport lugguage and 1 member of the group to help us load and unload the lugguage. Any additional people must either walk or take the bus. This service is available the whole year round and each trip costs 30 CHF. The service needs to be booked in advance through bR8IDggdGQQCAy0GBB4OQw4F@nospam and can only be carried out between 8:00 and 21:00 o'clock.
Located next to our main entrance is our Coffee Bar in the Recpetion Area. The area has a tea and coffee machine, a drinks machine, a collection of up to date Scout magazines from all around the world, a guestbook and a display of KISC information and information about other European Scout Centres.
We have four Common Rooms located on the ground floor of the Old Chalet. They are open for all guests to use free of charge and are the perfect opportunity to meet other guests and Scouts from all around the world. It is possible to book the rooms for your group by contacting Reception (bhwLDQseGgcBAC4FBx0NQA0G@nospam).
Our Main Hall is perfect for games or a meeting and is equipped with a fire place, sofas tables and chairs. The High Adventure Room and the International Friendship Room are pefect to relax after a busy day in the Alps, with comfortable sofas, books, piano and a fire place. Our Eco Room is set up as a class room and is perfect to learn more about the Swiss Alps.
We have a shop in the Chalet that sells souvenirs and sweets, as well as useful items such as batteries, toiletries and maps! During summer we also operate a shop on the Campsite. We accept CHF and US$, UK£, and € (notes only!). Our Chalet shop also accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro Cards.
Plugs and electrical sockets are different in Switzerland than in the European Union. Contary to the rest of Europe, Switzerland and thus KISC as well uses the IEC 60906-1 norm. 230 V AC.
Adapters for the most commonly used plugs are available in Reception for a 20 CHF deposit on a first come first serve basis.
