Loving every moment in the Swiss Alps
Hey there! Am Andy from Coventry in England. At home, I am a Scout Leader, Explorer Scout Leader and a Network Member. I try to get as much as I can out of Scouting so coming to KISC is definitely a massive opportunity for me. Life at KISC is amazing and has made me learn a lot about myself and about other cultures. When I found out I was going to be a Short term staff member, I was so excited but if I could go back in time and tell myself how awesome it actually is, I don’t think I would have believed it. Every day is different, one day I could find myself scrubbing toilets or showers and the next I could be making a wicked dessert (I have had a lot of good feedback from my cakes) no matter what I am doing I still love my job.05.11.2013
Two months have passed already and time is flying, I am really not looking forward to going home as this is such a great place. The people here are awesome and have become like family to me. I would like to mention my fellow shorties as they truly are among my favorite people in the world – Tessy, Christina, Ari, Armenta, Ronald, Libby and Aurelie (aka Snorelie). I am really going to miss these strange and wonderful people when time comes to leave KISC….which I am not looking forward too!
On my days off you will most likely find me exploring some new mountain and taking in the fantastic views, on a bike ride, doing some adventurous activity or as it gets colder and darker chilling out on the sofa and watching a film. A few of my favorite things in my life are hiking, enjoying a beverage or two and Doctor Who – my picture is in recognition of its 50th anniversary this month.
I know that the next 4 and a half weeks are going to be awesome and I will be soaking up every moment and spending time with everyone while I can. My message to you is to come to KISC and see for yourself how great this place is. Come as staff or a guest, it does not matter, although obviously being a Pinkie is greatest!
And also be awesome!
