STS Stories
All in all, the Kandersteg International Scout Centre is a stellar place to work and live, good friends, great scenery and a wonderful time.
Geoff Koelwyn (CA) - Staff 2009Are you thinking about becoming one of the Pinkies? If the answer is "YES", the best way is to join us. KISC ----Live it and you will love it. It is amazing that I can be here to enjoy my life for three months. There is no doubt that it is a memorable time in my life. Life in KISC is wonderful!!!
Jenny (HK) - Winter Staff 2009When at day-off, I am used to going skiing. Actually, this is my first time to ski, but really enjoying it. I am so excited. I won't be able to sleep tonight.
Sang Ho (KR) - Winter Staff 2009KISC cannot be put into the past so easily that's for sure! I will most certainly be back and I encourage you all out there to do the same!
Indi (UK) - Winter Staff 2009I went to Oschinensee to do some skiing. The weather was sunny and I got a bit sunburned, I look like a tomato! At the moment I'm working in Kander-Lodge, it is great fun. I love wearing pink!
Rakel (IS) - Spring Season 2009Yesterday, we had a barbeque party! Fire, barbeque, songs, drinks and friends!! It's perpect, isn't it? I'm really expecting the rest of time in Kandersteg to be as amazing!
Ah Ruem (KR) - Spring Staff 2009I had a wonderful winter as a Short Term Staff member. It's truly amazing how different the Kandersteg valley is in Spring compared to Winter. I can't even begin to describe all the shades of green that hide amongst the trees - and I'm from Canada.
Phil (CA) - Staff 2009It is impossible to describe what it is The Magic of Kandersteg, you have to experience it yourself and I really recomend that you and all of your fellow Scouts and Guides in the World come and visit KISC at least once to experience the Permanent Mini-Jamboree that was B-P's dream.
Göran (SE) - Summer Staff 2009This summer has been absolutely amazing - the experiences I'm having here at KISC are like nothing I've ever had before. Where else do you meet a group of 60 or so strangers from 27 different countries, and spend pretty much every waking moment with them for three months? But, fear not Kandersteg, in the words of Arnold... 'I'll be back'.
Alex (CA) - Summer Staff 2009I`ve also been wondering how much you can enjoy your life in a small village in the middle of the Alps? A lot, I can tell you! Life here has been unbelievable, enjoyable and full of surprises. I`ve got a great opportunity to experience something I`ll remember my whole life.
Riikka (FI) - Summer Staff 2009We met new challenges, new friends and thousands of guests
Adam and Nicole Baden-Clay (AU) - Summer 2004It was like we were from one country.
Dishon (KE) - Summer 2004
It was great meeting and learning about other people's cultures. There is no better place than KISC! Besides work I also had a tremendous amount of fun! I will be back some day to feel the magic once again.
Ryan (ZA) - Winter 2003
Thanks for a great time and great friends! It was a season of challenges
Elias (SE) - Spring 2003
Living at KISC is much more than work; is about enjoying life.
Laurits (DK) - Spring 2005I collected uncountable memories to take home with me.
Julia (DE) - Autumn 2005
We were all like one big family. You could see in their faces how fun it was! I had great fun, lots of laughs and good times all the way.
