BBQ project
Every year our 'International Night and BBQ' supports a worthy cause in Scouting somewhere in the world. Whenever a guest books the BBQ a CHF 2.- donation goes from the payment to the project. Direct donations can also be made through the Centre to the project.
In 2007 the Lebanese Scouts Association received CHF 13,700 to help them rebuild their country through the 'Rebirth of the Phoenix' project. In 2008 the project donatated CHF 7,000 to build a permanent climbing and abseiling facility in the Philippines for the 11th National Jamboree in Clarkfield Pampanga in 2009. In 2009, CHF 5,000 was donated to Scouting in Favellas in Brazil, which helped to continue the development of Scouting and education in under-developed areas of Brazil. 2010 donations went go towards the Operation One World Project, providing Scouts from around the world the opportunity to experience the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011.
The donations in 2012 will be forwarded to support Scouting in East Timor.
