Winter
Kandersteg is magnificent in the winter. During this time, we offer a programme with activities ranging from sledding to igloo building and of course, all forms of fun in the snow!
The Centre is situated in an ideal location not far from several of Europe’s major ski resorts and the village has two excellent downhill ski areas and over 70km of cross country skiing. This isn't to mention the great oppurtunities for snow shoeing or ice climbing, before an evening of curling or ice skating at the local ice rink, or relaxing in our traditional Finnish sauna.
In Winter you have the choice of booking on one of our package weeks which include everything you need from accomodation and food to activites, ski hire and lift passes. If you are not staying with us for a full week or want a little more flexability then it is possible to book your own activites outside of a package.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.
