A traditional and popular KISC hike, providing not also a rewarding hike but also a view into traditional Alpine culture.
This hike takes you from the centre, up to the Höh viewpoint, before rising up through Alpine Pastures (and past Alpine Cows!). At lunchtime you will arrive at your goal, the Gölitschenalp Cheesery. Here you can soak up the view down the valley towards Lake Thun, and enjoy the tranquil peace. You will also be given a guided tour of this Cheesery, where cheese is made using the same traditional methods as have been used in these valleys for centuries. You will also have the chance to try fresh milk and cheese made there too!
This is a short but steep hike, providing a rewarding challenge for scouts from age 10.
