At the Centre one of our key themes is developing International Friendship. This Award has been designed to make it easier for all our guests to meet one another and share aspects of their culture. And of course achieve a badge too!
Complete any 7 of the following requirements. If you are under 14 years old, complete only 5.
- Take part in the World Scout Workshop.
- Participate in the International Sports Afternoon.
- Take part in Race the World or International Evening.
- Undertake a hike with a Scout, Guide patrol or troop from another country.
- With a Scout or Guide from another country complete the Discovery Trail, the Green Campsite Trail or the Kandersteg Trail.
- Teach someone from another country a song, skit or tradition from your country - you can use the weekly International Evening or Campfire to help you.
- Complete the International Friendship Trail.
- Contribute to the continual development of the Centre by devoting some time to a Service project.
- Make contact with 2 other groups visiting Kandersteg at the same time as you. Learn about their background and interests and meet up when you get there.
- Write an article about your experience at KISC and send it to programme@kisc.ch (programme@kisc.ch).

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.
