Dear friends,

As you might have noticed, some time ago we closed certain LTS positions and from many candidates we chose our future Pink colleagues. But unfortunately one of them is no longer able to join us. This means that we are re-opening the position for Grounds Manager.

The post of Grounds Manager starts on the 1st of June for a contract of 1 year. The Grounds Manager is responsible for maintaining the 17 hectare of wooded land and campsites as well as planning and running service projects, and managing international work parties. The candidate should have a driver’s license and be dedicated to our environmental policies. If you would like to take care of our grounds and work with an international team of volunteers, you might be the right person for this position.

We have also newly opened the applications for House Assistant with a contract for 1 year, to start on the 20th of September. The House Assistant together with the House Manager is responsible for the image of the Centre in terms of cleanliness, appearance and order of all the accommodation buildings. This includes taking care of the different laundries, assisting and co-organising special events and ensuring that all guests receive a warm welcome. Is it maybe your dream to prepare a warm welcome for up to 200 guests at any time? Do you like to work 'hands-on'? This might be just the right job for you!

Here you will find all the information about these positions. However, there is a limitation for both positions. Due to the processes in obtaining visas in Switzerland, we regret to inform that we can only accept applications from those with EU/EFTA passports.

So, do you want to live the dream again? Do you miss Pink in your wardrobe? Are you up for new a challenge? If you answered YES to these questions, then just fill the LTS application, attach other required documents and send it to Felipe (BR) by the 31st of May for the House Assistant position, and as soon as possible for the Grounds Manager position (it will be filled as soon as we find a suitable candidate).

International Rover Week Helpers

We are still looking for Helpers for the International Rover Week. It starts on the 27th of July and finishes on the 8th of August. Helpers would ideally arrive a few days in advance and depart a few days after it finishes. We are looking for two Helpers with experience in leading hikes. If you are interested, please send Anna (FI) an email.

The Pinkies celebrating KISC Birtday

The 12th of April is a memorable day for KISC. 93 years ago the Scouts International Home Association purchased the Chalet to become a home for Scouts from all over the world. Since then B.P.’s dream is alive thanks to you and thousands of volunteers who contributed their time and dedication to KISC. On this day, we will run several activities on our Social Medias, so please join us! Take a selfie and write a birthday wish for KISC using the hashtag #happybirthdayKISC! We are looking forward to see Pinkies from all around the world celebrating KISC's birthday!

Yours in Scouting,

Anna Järvinen (FI)
Staff Development Director
