Dear Ex-Staff,

Mornings at Kandersteg are getting colder and colder, the mountain peaks are already covered in snow but autumn is still firmly holding the scepter in its hands. Although the snow stays high up in the mountains, many of our Staff are anxiously awaiting the chance to get their skis and snowboards out and start the winter adventure with our guests. So, here we go: Helpers needed!

If you would love to come back to KISC and enjoy the snowy Swiss Alps, being a Helper is the best way to do so! We will need Helpers that can come during the following periods:

•    Training Week –  05.12.2015 – 13.12.2015
•    Winter Activity training  – 14.12.2015 – 29.12.2015
•    Christmas & New Years Period – 22.12.2015 – 03.01.2016
•    Winter Week 5 – 31.01.2016 – 06.02.2016
•    Winter Week 6 – 06.02.2016 – 13.02.2016
•    Winter Week 7 – 13.02.2016 – 20.02.2016

You don’t have to be able to come for the full period. Even if you can only come for a few days, a week or so, you can still contact us. If you would like to sign up, or if you have questions about being a helper please send an email to Salla (FI).


We are also writing, as we would like to inform you that we have had to reopen two of the LTS positions. Some time ago we closed the position of House Manager and Caterer and the decision of the new LTS had been made. But unfortunately the chosen Pinkies are no longer able to join us. This means a chance for you to be a part of the Pinkie team.

The post of Caterer is for a period of 12 months, starting on the 23rd of November. What would be your job? Creating the menu, dealing with food orders and with suppliers, leading Catering Assistants and Short Term Staff while meeting guests expectations, food and hygiene standards. You would be also involved in the day-to-day running of the catering operations including events management. Last but not least, it includes lot of fun, team work with Pinkies and satisfaction that comes from happy scouts coming out of the dining hall. Sounds like a job you can do? Then apply and be our new Caterer.

The post of House manager starts on the 23rd of November 2015 for a period of 1 year. Do you want to be the person who gives a warm welcome to up to 200 guests at any time at the unique Permanent Mini-Jamboree? Do you think you can take care of cleanliness, appearance and order of all our buildings, as well as manage and work with enthusiastic Pinkies ready for housework? If yes, this might be just the right job for you! Apply and help us to make sure that our guests have the best stay here.



Here you will find all the information about these positions. However, there is a limitation for both positions. Due to the late nature of these applications and the processes in obtaining visas in Switzerland, all applicants to these positions need to hold a passport from an EU or EFTA Country.
