Dear Members,

The General Assembly was excellent and it was great to see so many of you around the Centre and taking activily part in the meetings.

In addition to the General Assembly, we also had a Members’ Weekend running concurrently. This years weekend was well attended and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather Kandersteg has managed to put on for the event.

Highlights included views from Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe as well as exploring our own valley which is currently covered in those beautiful Spring alpine wildflowers.

We also have a little something special for all of you that could not make it here. It is with pleasure that we present to you the new KISC promotional video.

This video has been made possible thanks to the contribution of many people (both footage and music). A special thanks is definitely owed to Caz (IE) for composing together all the ’pieces of the puzzle’ in such a nice way.

The video is available for you to be seen here.

Feel free to use it for promoting KISC in your own country and do not hesitate to contact us for a high quality version.

General Assembly

The General Assembly took place in the Hall of the Kander-Lodge and we were happy to have in total 146 votes present at the GA. Besides the normal business such as several reports of what had been achieved during the past 2 years there was a lot of voting. The accounts of 2008 & 2009 were approved as well as the ammendments to the Association Statutes.

The elections for the KISC Association Committee resulted in the re-election of all the sitting Individual Members. However among the 6 NSO members there were some changes. We said goodbye to the Italian Scout Federation and the Nordic Scout Council and welcomed the Austrian & Luxemburg Scout Organisations as new members of the Committee.

The Members present appointed Markus Gasser as Honorary Member in recognition for all the work done over many years for both the Association and the Foundation. Markus stepped down as Treasurer of the Foundation on 6th June 2010.

David McKee, Director WSB-European Regional Office, was co-opted by the new Committee for a period of 4 years. More information regarding the new Committee and Foundation Board can be found here.

We wish you a great Summer and we hope to see you soon here at the Permanent Mini-Jamboree.
