Meet our new Director

For the past couple of months, the staff have welcomed hundreds of Scouts who have come to KISC to live international Scouting, even if it's just for a couple of days. But the Pinkie team is not the only team that has been working hard during this time. The KISC Association Committee has led the recruitment process to find a new Director for our Centre. The Director that, for the next few years, will inspire thousands of Scouts from around the world.
Meet Pani, our new Director at KISC

After an extensive recruitment process that attracted more than 30 applications from many countries, the KISC Committee made a decision and selected the successful candidate at its meeting on Sunday, 17 March.

We are delighted that Pani (pictured above) from Spain will take on the role of KISC’s new Director from Jack at the end of May.

Pani, who volunteered as a Short-term staff in the summer of 2015, participated in the Spanish Work Party twice and held various long-term roles at the Centre from 2017 to 2019, has recently been Operational Director at Úlfljótsvatn, the National Scout Centre of Iceland.

Aidan Jones, the Chairperson of the KISC Association, said, “As a former Director of KISC, I know just how important it is to have a deep connection with the Centre and its values. We are delighted with Pani’s appointment as our new Director, and we are confident he will truly embody the values of KISC. The whole Committee wishes him the very best in his new role.”

Pani's response to his appointment as the new Director was:

"I am both thrilled and humbled to be able to come back to a place I call home. KISC has just celebrated its first hundred years and has now begun its second century of existence. I could not be more excited about the Scouting experiences we will share with guests and staff from all over the world, leading the Permanent Mini Jamboree and ensuring the relevance of Baden-Powell’s dream in today’s society."

On behalf of the entire KISC family, we welcome Pani into his new role and wish him a successful term with plenty of achievements and further development for the Centre.

Please help share this exciting news with your Scout friends and family.
