Monday 26th, 8:41 in the morning all was quiet at Kandersteg train station. And then... 166 students from the Schlossberg high school arrived from Spiez to enjoy a fun/snow filled day in Kandersteg! We needed almost 30 Pinkies to lead all the activities, such as ice climbing, curling, sleding, cross country skiing, crate staking and more!
A warm lunch was served inside the Chalet at 12am, and then... more activities to enjoy the sunny day - unless you went caving! And only 8 hours since their arrival, at 16:45 that very same day, we were all again at the train station to wave them goodbye.
The Schlossberg School has visited KISC for this activity day for years now, and once again all Staff, students and teachers had a fantastic day!
THE EUROPEAN SCOUT REGION NETWORKS MEETING AT KISC
All of the network groups which support the implementation of the European Regional Scout Plan met at Kandersteg last weekend, from Thirsday 22 till Sunday 25 January. A day and a half were devoted to a number of meetings between the various groups to discuss ideas and to share items of common interest - including the involvement of the Region in a number of EU initiatives.
On Saturday afternoon all participants visited "Our Chalet" in Adelboden, a World Centre of WAGGGS, to meet with their colleagues from the WAGGGS Europe Region and plan joint actions within Europe.
By noon on Sunday, all participants left KISC satisfied with all the progress achieved over the weekend.
