As the Assistant Programme Director, I am responsible for helping provide an enjoyable and safe programme for all our guests.
In the real world I am a qualified craft baker, but right now I am taking the opportunity to live and work in a place where I can keep all my hobbies satisfied. Skiing, snowboarding, hiking or climbing. Anything outdoors. Kia KahaEliane (CH), Catering Supervisor
Grüssech, I'm the Swiss Catering Supervisor working part-time at the centre. In the rest of my time I work as a teacher and local politician in the nearby town of Spiez.

Sometimes I also play harmonica with some other musicians at the local pubs.Hannes (SE), Spring 2008
Hej,
My name is Hannes I'm from Sweden and have driven my rusty red Volvo down here to help out and make the magic that is Kandersteg. 3 months of work and fun, together with people from all around the world!!!
Hopefully I get some time off and then you will probably find me in the slopes skiing, telemarking or snowboarding. When spring comes and the snow is gone I'm sure there will be some hiking.Irakqui (DE), Administration Assistant
Servus! I'm the Irakqui from Bavaria and I'm the Admin Assi at the Centre, which means I'm the guy who's helping out with any problems in the financial or the german speaking section. If the Reception Manager is not available it's also possible to get me on the phone for bookings or on the Reception Counter for Check in's/out's, bills etc. Besides that I love DJ'ing, biking or just relaxing and enjoying the Alps and the atmosphere in Kandersteg!
James (GB), Catering Assistant
Hi my name is James and I'm from the UK. I'm the Catering Assistant here at the centre which means I assist the Caterer in running the best kitchen in Kandersteg if you don't believe me come and see!
In my spare time I will try to ski whilst we still have snow and after the snow is gone I will start hiking again and playing football against the other Pinkies. If the weather is bad you can catch me watching 24 or in the local tea room.James (KR), Spring 2008
An-Nyung (Hello), My name is Ji-min(James), from Korea. I am the proud owner of four beautiful full bred Golden Retrievers answering (well most of the time) to the names of Laika, Pickles, Bodansky and Bonk.
If you can not find me in my office I could be anywhere at the Centre or in the Tearoom eating cakes!Mike (UK), Grounds Assistant
Hello everybody, my name is Mike. I'm an Assistant Scout Leader from Liverpool, England. I will be doing the job of Grounds Assistant and so will be making sure the grounds are looking nice for all our campers.

Hola! I'm Milca, from Argentina. I've been a Scout since I was 9 years old. At home, I'm a Scout leader. Here, at the Center, I'm Short Term Staff helping wherever is needed and having a great time with a lot of other Scouts of different nationalities.
I can't say I like skiing or any snow related activity, like everybody else, because this is the first time I see the snow, but I will give it a try! :)Olave (CH)
Oscar (SE), Spring 2008
I´m Oscar and I was born to be a pirate - to sail the seven seas and enjoy the spoils of war and plunder. This is why I decided to go to landlocked Switzerland. Buccaneering abounds, and when conditions make pirating the Kandersteg mountains impossible, you will probably find me practicing my rum-drinking skills at the pub.
If this keeps up I´ll soon have a ship and crew of my own!Peter (UK), Spring 2008
Hey I'm Peter, a Scout from the UK and have been a Scout since I was 6! A reaaaaallly long time! I'm 18 at the moment and I'm on a Gap Year before going to university at Sheffield to study Zoology.
I have been planning on volunteering at Kandersteg since I visited in 2004 and just loved the place. I love everything here at Kandersteg, from the situation up in mountains to the internationalness.Rich (UK), Spring 2008
Howdy, I am Rich, a Sea Scout from the UK. I am member of the Short Term Staff team here in Kandersteg and I do all kinds of jobs, from cleaning toilets to cooking (don't worry I wash my hands ;D)
In my free time I like to mountain bike and learn how to ski, but my favourite hobby is to drink a well prepared cup of tea... =)Roger (NL), Internal Services Director
Hoi! I'm Roger from the Netherlands. My main job as Internal Services Director is looking after everything 'behind the scenes' here at the Centre: from grounds to administration to all the building plans we have. Exciting!
On days off I love to go hiking, play hide and seek, spend a night in an igloo, go over to Adelboden or otherwise discover the country in my Swiss limousine :-) You can always count on me for any game or just one drink!Tobias (CH), Spring 2008
Sali zäme,
I am Tobias from Switzerland. I like hiking, swimming, skiing and chocolate. I can't be without chocolate!!!Tom (IE), Programme Director
Hey, I'm Tom from the west of Ireland and I'm the Programme Director. This means that I work in making sure that we provide the best activities and experiences to our guests; whether that is throwing them into crevasses or exciting games around the Centre.
In my free time I like to do things - mainly outdoors and involving mountains!
