For inhabitants of Europe, another option is an InterRail ticket. This famous way of travelling is available at different price rates for different periods of time, and enables you to travel around Europe by train for free during a period of validity chosen by you. This makes it perfect if you plan to travel a lot inside of Switzerland and even beyond its borders to see as much interesting places as possible during your stay. Most trains can just be boarded, other ones require a booking in advance where only a small booking fee applies. The cheapest option for any InterRail ticket is to buy it in your country of origin. Detailed infomation on InterRail can be found on their website!
If you're coming to KISC from outside of Europe, visiting Switzerland's neighbouring countries is highly recommended to get in as much of Europe as possible. For non-European residents, it's possible to buy a Eurail ticket which enables you to travel inside a selection of European countries for different time periods and price rates. It can also be used to just travel around Switzerland. More information is available on the Eurail website!
