Safety Policy

The safety of all Guests and Staff is very important at KISC and so we have a comprehensive safety management system in place. The main safety management document is our Safety Policy (available to download below).

Anyone can stay at the Centre and that is in our indoor accomodation or on the Campsite. Each group staying at the Centre must have 1 adult who is responsible for the group.

Terms & Conditions

The Centre's Terms & Conditions contain some information on safety and responsibility. The group leaders must sign to acknowledge that they have read and understood the Terms & Conditions before they, or their group, can stay at the Centre.

Guest Declaration

The Guest Declaration contains more specific information regarding safety and responsibility, especially in terms of activities. The Guest Declaration states that the Group Leader, and his her group, will follow the Centre's Safety Policy and Rules. It also states that the Group Leader is responsible for obeying Swiss law and the rules of thier national Scout association.

The group leaders must sign to acknowledge that they have read and understood the Guest Declartion before they, or their group, can stay at the Centre.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.
