Emergency Procedure
Fire Safety
In the event of a fire at the Centre all Staff in building will react to our alarm system and follow our fire procedure. This involves checking the source of the alarm to ascertain if the threat is real, evacuating the building if necessary and alerting the management team. If there is a fire the Operational Director and Fire Brigade are alerted using an automated system connected to a permanently manned specialist control centre.
Illness / Sickness
If someone feels ill during their stay we have Staff who are trained in basic first aid and in the village there is a Doctor. The nearest pharmacy can be found in the nearby town of Frutigen where there is also a hospital for more serious matters.
Incidents & Accidents
Should an incident occur on the grounds or in the building our Staff will assess the situation and alert the emergency services if necessary.
The Centre has a First Aid Room located on the ground floor. This room is only accessible by Staff and is stocked with basic First Aid supplies. We have several trained and experienced First Aiders on Staff to help in an emergency. All Activity Guides carry basic First Aid Kits and we have First Aid Kits located in most areas of the Centre.
