AMOS (KE) - FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT
Amos here, I love this country, it's awesome and more so I love the KISC community, it has people with big hearts. When am not trying to keep the ski's together on the cross country run, I sleep in. Final word, there are two rules to life, 1) Don't tell people everything. 2)

ANNA (FI) - INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP ASSISTANT
I like spending my free time outdoors and making the most of my days. I’m a happy person and I like to have a good giggle!

ANDREW (AU) - ASSISTANT PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
G'day. My job here is to work with the rest of the Programme team to ensure our guests receive fun, safe and adventurous activities. In my spare time during winter you'll find me hunting out the pow!

CHRIS (UK) - MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Jack of all trades who thrives off of a challange. Hobbys are working, skiing, running. Enjoys phisical labour: its the best work out you can get and it's productive.

CONNY (NL) - PR & MARKETING MANAGER
I'm Conny from the Netherlands. Together with Tati I am responsible for the website, newsletters, brochures, and a lot of other marketing activities.
I love the wonderful mixture of living in a small Alpine village and working together with the international staff here at KISC.

DOMINIC (UK) - WINTER 2009
Hi! I love to ski, so it's great to be here in Winter. I like lots of outdoor activities. Back home I'm an Explorer Scout Leader and work as an engineer.

ELIANE (CH) - CATERING SUPERVISOR
Grüssech, I'm the Swiss Catering Supervisor working part-time at the centre. In the rest of my time I work as a teacher and local politician in the nearby town of Spiez. After all that, when I can find the time, I love to go skiing, climbing and enjoy a nice massage!

FELIPE (BR) - RECEPTION MANAGER
My close friends call me FlipFlop. Here at KISC, I work in Reception, welcoming and helping Scouts from all over the world. On my spare time, you will find me playing the ukulele, walking and playing on a slack line or up on the mountains doing some freeskiing!

GEOFF (CA) - PROGRAMME ADMIN. ASSISTANT
Howdy, I'm Geoff from Canada and I take care of the administration in the programme office,  if you book an activity you will probably talk to me. When I'm not in the office you will most likely find me somewhere else.

GILLIAN (IE) - GUEST SERVICES DIRECTOR
My name's Gillian and I'm Deputy Director for Guest Services.  My team and I are here to ensure all our guests' creature comforts are looked after!  When we are off, we love to catch a cable-car out of the valley and into the snowy mountains to stretch the legs, take in the spectacular views and catch some rays.  In my spare time, I love to do all things creative... name a craft, and I've probably done it at some stage!

GORDON (AU) - WINTER 2009
G’day mates everywhere! Uncle Gordon here will tell you a story: long time ago, when I was a crocodile hunter, I found out that If we level that much of land to grow rice and stuff, then no other animal could live there - except for some insect pest species. Which is very unfortunate. But anyways, if  you are not familiar with the Aussie expressions, I can translate one of them for you: crikey means gee whiz, wow! Don't destroy plants, eat them! Go vegetarians! When I grow up I would like to be a ninja master and teach ninja to children with my NGO "Ninjas Without Borders".

INDIA (UK) - WINTER 2009
Life here at KISC is fantabeedoesee! Looking forward to meeting many new people over the next three months and helping them enjoy their time here as much as I am. I love skiing and skibiking in my spare time, so wave if you see me out on the slopes!

IRAKQUI (DE) - ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
I read Socrates. This guy knocked off little Greek boys. What on earth he got to teach me? And Nietzsche, with his theory of eternal recurrence. He said that the life we lived we're gonna live over again the exact same way for eternity. Great. That means I'll have to sit at the Administration desk again. It's not worth it. And Freud , another great pessimist. I was in analysis for years and nothing happened. My poor analyst got so frustrated, the guy finally put in a salad bar. Maybe the poets are right. Maybe love is the only answer.

JENNY (HK) - WINTER 2009
Hi! I'm glad to be one of the Pinkies in Winter 2009! It is my first time to have a white Christmas, caving, sledding, curling, living and working with different people from different nationalities.

JENS (IE) - INTERNAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
My name's Jens and I'm the Internal Services Director. In between looking after the Internal Services work (can you figure out what I do?), I try and climb, ski, hike and enjoy the nightlife in Kandersteg. I was STS in Summer 2004, Campsite Manager in 2005 and 2007 Project Director in 2006/07. I come from Dublin in Ireland were I am part of the 47th Dublin (Ballybrack) Scout group.

KARO (FI) - WINTER 2009
I love ski, vegetables that start with "T", blue things with buttons, white paper, ringtones that sounds like robots talking, birds that can't fly, animals in human's clothes, boys driving bikes and many other stuff!... but above all, I love pop music and fairy tales! When I was a little finnish girl, I kissed my brother's Ninja Turtles CD to see if I can transform it into a Prince album. My favourite day of the monht is the 23th and when I grow up I would like to be one of the characters in LOST.

KATEY (IE) - PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
The snow is here again and you can see me falling over in the village, around the centre and on the ski slopes.
So if you come to visit please help me to get up if you see me on the ground!
This winter I am drinking a lot of different flavours of tea.

KERSTIN (DE) - PROJECT MANAGER
I love stories and help KISC have a great exhibition and further history-offers. If I'm not behind my desk, you might spot me on the cross-country tracks

LENE (DK) - BOOKKEEPER
Hi, I am Lene. Since 4 years I come to the Centre to work once a week. I spend the rest of my time with my 2 boys, at my second Job, doing some sports or with friends. I love the Winter Season at the Centre, with all the crosscountry skiers outside the window and everything looking so white and pretty  :-)

LOU (IT) - HOUSE MANAGER
Ciao! I'm Luisa and I'm from the beautiful Sicily. Here at KISC I'm a kind of a "Fashion Guru" of the Chalet, taking care of everything from waxing floors to brushing toilets, rolling sheets or giving orders like "mop fhe floor!" and so on - it depends. When I'm off I like to take a good relaxing bath with Lush products, read girly novels, listen to Indie Music and cook italian dishes. But if I'm the right mood, I might hit the Thun old town for some impulsive high-street shopping, caramel coffee and cherry cake. Yey!

MARK (NL) - DIRECTOR
I have been in Switzerland for the past 8 years working both at the Centre and for the World Scout Bureau. I like to walk with my dogs, read and go to the cinema and concerts. I am the proud owner of four beautiful full bred Golden Retrievers answering (well most of the time) to the names of Laika, Pickles, Bodansky and Bonk.
If you can not find me in my office I could be anywhere at the Centre or in the Tearoom eating cakes!

MIKA (RS) - WINTER 2009
Grüssech, I'm Mika and this is what some of the Pinkies think so far about me: fun, lovely, (hyper) active, crazy, serbian, full of energy, bubbly, dancer, freak, smiley, exciting, insightful, brunette.

NALAKA (LK) - HOUSE ASSISTANT
Hey, Nalaka is my name, but you can call me Nakalakalekokuloliarodiduree if you want. At my home country my favourite hobby is climbing coconut trees, bare feet. Here we don't have any so I spend all of my spare time eating the snow! It's like water ice cream, YEAH!! I am not an expert, but kids I can tell you: Don't eat the yellow snow! When I grow up I want to be the prince of Switzerland or run my own laundry shop.

PAUL (UK) - BUILDING COORDINATOR
Hi kids, I'm Paul and I can make anything out of wood - even lasagna. If you did break something in the Chalet, I'm the man who is going to fix it. Don't understand a thing about websites though... does it have anything to do with spiders or what?!

PHIL (CA) - WINTER 2009
I'm Phillip, ghost busting stud! My favourite quote is "never spend more than 20 bucks on a flight"; so I've swimmt all my way from Canada to Europe - now all I have to do is get this fish out of my pants. Girls find me quite attractive because they think I'm a mix between Ben Stiller and Giovanni Ribisi. When I grow up I want to be a cartographer and have a mustache.

Hi (hallo apa kabar?). My name is Pipit and I'm from Indonesia. I'm very happy to be one of the pinkies in Winter 2009. It's my first time to have hiking, caving, sledding, living and working with different people from different countries. And you must know, Kandersteg is very beautiful! SONJA (DK) - WINTER 2009
Hello boys and girls! I used to come here every Winter with my sister and other danish girls to have pillow fights in panties, make new clothes for our barbies, cook butter cookies and ski - and that's how I meet KISC and decided to become a Pinkie. When I am not working you might find me trying to start a pillow fight with other girls, it is really fun! When I grow up, as an adult I would like to be a professional pillow fighter, astronaut or a fashion designer.

SØREN (DK) - WINTER 2009
Hejsa. I'm here at KISC for three moths during two gap years before going to University. I'm a bit of a geek and quite excentric, i.e. I think the first version of the original Star Wars movie was the best of the three made. When I'm not trying to learn a wierd language no one speaks or reading articles about "Evolutionary Psychology, Memes and the Origin of War" on the internet I like to ski, snowboard, drink coffee or attempt to climb up on the beams that hold the roof in the staff room. If you're guessing that I will study engineering, you're not wrong.

TATI (AR) - PR & MARKETING ASSISTANT
"When Squinky wants you dead, you're dead", cavemen say. Fair enough. But I want her to have the best Christmas present ever. So I cursed my luck again as I slid down into that dinosaur's nest to steal and cook the biggest fryed egg ever. Yeez, I should have brought my huge frying pan with me in the time machine... but that's not my only problem: Squinky is now awake and furious. It's the end. Sorry baby, I tried the best I could, honest...  and there's no room in Prehistory for big hearts like ours, and... wait, lunch break is over, stop dreaming!

TIM (UK) - CATERER
I am an awarded proffesional British cook on Her Majesty's secret food service since 2003. If I am not inside the kitchen preparing amazing vegetable soup, you might find me driving my super BMW, reporting at the MI6 headquarters or at my flat watching M.A.S.H. On my days off I normally fly out Switzerland to any place in the world to have glamorous adventures with other international spies and cute girls who fall in love with me. I am also learning how to ski and swear that look better in person than in this picture.

TOBIAS (CH) - MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Hi! When I'm not working in the Kander-loge, I like to blow up all the fuses and generate big blackouts at the Centre, go skiing, visit local pubs and break windows with my Elbow of Power (a gift I got from a Sorceress named Elena), or paint my face as a member of KISS to win girl's hearts - depending of my mood!

TOM (IE) - PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
Hey, I'm Tom from the west of Ireland and I'm the Programme Director. This means that I work in making sure that we provide the best activities and experiences to our guests; whether that is throwing them into crevasses or exciting games around the Centre.
In my free time I like to do things - mainly outdoors and involving mountains!

SNOOP (IE) - FOOT WARMER
My name's Snoop and I have two very important jobs here at KISC: Gillian's biking companion and foot-warmer; and general entertainment and cuddle provider to staff and guests. While I like to "hang out" with Pickles and the rest of the "Big Blond Gang", I can generally be found wherever Gillian is... after all, she's the boss! And my main hobby: chasing cats, of course.

Dislikes all that white stuff around (refering to the snow, not the other doggies).
