Internship
Internship or Work Experience
Some schools do require that you do an Internship or Work Experience during a certain period of your school year. Often it is only a week but it can also be longer. When the aim of such a period is to work in an English speaking environment or an international/intercultural environment then you should certainly consider KISC! When there is no specific aim for such a period you are of course also most welcome.
Requirements for you:
- You need to be 16 years of age at the start of such a period
- An active member of a National Scout or Guide Organisation recognised by either WOSM and/or WAGGGS
- Be able to communicate in English
- You do not need a Schengen visa to enter Switzerland
What can we offer you:

Other requirements:
- You need to pay for your own transport to and from KISC
- You need to have your own travel insurance including medical costs
- We can provide a 'coach' or 'mentor' if that is required by your school
- If you need to write a report or complete specific work duties please check in advance that we can support you in this we can not offer you any pocket money or 'salary' during your stay here.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.

ECO ADVENTURE
One of the main themes of our Programme the environment is important to all Scouts. We have Guided and Self-Guided Programme as well as the Eco Adventure Room and environmental information around the Centre and Campsite.
