Deputy Directors
The present staff structure includes a Deputy Director for Guest Services, a Deputy Director for Programme and a Deputy Director for Internal Services.
The Job Description of each Deputy Director starts like this: "The Deputy Director is a member of the Senior Management Team of the Kandersteg International Scout Centre and reports directly to the Director. As Deputy Director he/she is directly responsible for the management of the Guest Services / Programme / Internal Services department and assists with executing the strategically development goals of the Centre on the short and longer term as set out by the KISC General Assembly and KISC Association Committee. The post requires a willingness to work according to a flexible schedule."
In daily life the Deputy Directors are called: Guest Services Director / Programme Director / Internal Services Director.
Deputy Directors are appointed for a period of 36 months (3 years) and are entitled, when available, to individual living accommodation (studio or 1 bedroom apartment) in the village.
Due to the lenght of the contract and subsequently the length of the work permit we can only appoint Scouts or Guides with a nationality that belongs to a country which is a member of European Union (not including Bulgaria and Romania at the moment).

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.

ECO ADVENTURE
One of the main themes of our Programme the environment is important to all Scouts. We have Guided and Self-Guided Programme as well as the Eco Adventure Room and environmental information around the Centre and Campsite.
