We have a wide variety of hikes that cater for a range of ages and many levels of fitness. From reaching Alpine summits, to visiting cheeserys or staying overnight in a remote mountain hut, our hikes offer something for everyone! Most of our guided hikes are possible from June to September.

You must have suitable hiking equipment or you will not be able to participate. Please see the downloadable documents below to give you a good idea of what you need to prepare in advance.

Transport, hut meals and overnights are included in all prices. Please choose your hike carefully and allow time to acclimatise when you arrive.

Note: Overnights hikes cannot be booked to depart on a Saturday. Full day hikes cannot be booked for Sunday but overnight hikes starting in the afternoon can be booked.

UK Groups: For KISC Guided Activities the group does not need to be split into sub-groups. More information for UK groups can be downloaded here.

UNGUIDED HIKES
A selection of recommended hike routes in the Kandersteg area which you can lead your Scout Group on. The routes range from half-day strolls to multi-day routes traversing alpine passes.

HIGH ADVENTURE
KISC is surrounded by high mountains and eternal glaciers. Hike over an alpine pass, explore a glacier or challenge yourself at rock climbing.

ECO ADVENTURE
One of the main themes of our Programme the environment is important to all Scouts. We have Guided and Self-Guided Programme as well as the Eco Adventure Room and environmental information around the Centre and Campsite.
