Christmas and New Year
Christmas and New Year is a magical time in Kandersteg, and here at KISC there is a special programme for this week of festivities. We invite you to join in the fun and celebrations.
The fun begins on December 24, Christmas Eve, with a special dinner, followed by the chance to join KISC Staff, your fellow guests, and Kandersteg residents for the Christmas Service in the village church. Christmas Day will see you celebrating with a festive spirit and a special Christmas meal at the Centre.
Many of our guests will be booked on a Ski Week or Winter Activities Week over this period, so there will be plenty of outdoor activities going on. As part of our special programme over the holiday season we also offer:
- Guided Snowshoeing
- Guided Cross Country Skiing
- Igloo Building
- Gemmi Hike ‘n' Sled
- Snow Adventure Day
- Fun Sledding Evening
- Traditional Finnish Sauna
While spending their holidays in the Alps, we try to give our guests a chance to try out all things Swiss. During our Swiss Culture Night traditional Swiss cheese fondue is on the menu with Swiss yodellers, musicians, and Alphorn players to entertain. Guests will also get have the opportunity to sample raclette.
New Year's Eve is party time at KISC. We begin the evening with an aperitif and continue with a special New Year's dinner. We then celebrate and dance our way into the New Year with a themed disco. New Year's Eve in Kandersteg is a very unique and special experience.
Guests who have booked to stay at the Centre during this time will receive further information about the week's special programme and any extra costs. Of course, all our regular activities are available too.
