MIRA CETI ROOM OPENING / AGORA INTERNATIONAL EVENING
The first inter-regional Agora took place at KISC and as its over 50 participants from all over the world all brought delicacies from their home country an international evening had to be held for them and the Staff to get at taste of their own culture.
The Mira Ceti Room was opened as the first room in Kander-Lodge officially adopted by a local scout group.Read more about this in the corresponding Latest News!
2nd January - 20th January 2012
First busy weeks of Winter 2012! Not only did the annual Kandersteg Ice Climbing Festival take place, but we were also visited by the Transatlantic Council on their Klondike weekend, and had an afternoon sledding with the Staff from Our Chalet! The perfect photos for those who stayed at home and want to get a wintery feel into their houses! Winter season 2012 has begun at KISC! See what has been going on during training, D-Day, Christmas, New Year's Eve and in between. Centre Managers Conference 2011 - Jambville
From 19th - 23rd October representatives of KISC took part in the Centre Managers Conference at the Centre National de Formation des Scouts et Guides de France in Jambville, near Paris. The conference is comparable to a big idea exchanging fair to promote cooperation between different Scout Centres in Europe with the basic idea to learn from each other. The Kandervalley has been struck by massive floodings, KISC has been touched as well, even though not as bad as the rest of the valley further North. See the development of the events from the point of view of KISC in these photos.

We've been visited by two school classes, the Aladdin Stiftung and Alf Button.
In Programme the work on KanderActive is in full swing, the renovation of the Irish Room is going well and the Campsite is already being prepared for Winter. Meanwhile, the Centre's cat Olave has taken over reception!Make sure to also have a look at the corresponding Latest News!
